I have decided to use EDPUZZLE to design this activity because this tool will help me review and reinforce the tenses and vocabulary seen in previous units in a more entertaining and practical way. Besides, my students will be using the 4 skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
This is the link to the activity I have designed: https://edpuzzle.com/media/60ad0efe1647674153349e9e
The activity consists on an episode of an animated cartoon ("Washday", from Shaun The Sheep) which I have editted with EDPUZZLE adding a series of multiple choice and open-ended questions.
The questions focus on the 2 tenses we have seen in previous units (PRESENT SIMPLE and PRESENT CONTINUOUS), on some vocabulary related to clothes we have also studied before and there are also some other questions on comprehension which will make my students use those tenses and that vocabulary to write down their answers. It will be a whole-class activity, done in class.
I will play the video and the students will have to write down their answers in their notebooks. I will give them some time to think and to write down their answers and, when all of them have finished, I will be asking some of them to share their answers.
Everybody will have participated aby the end of the lesson. Moreover, the students will be using the 4 skills since they will have to read and understand the questions editted on the video, they will have to write down their answers, they will have to read their answers out loud to share them with their classmates and they will have to listen to and understand my questions and comments in order to provide their answers.
After this activity, there will be some discussion on the episode to make them speak about what happens in the episode, how they think the characters feel and to know their opinions about the cartoon and the activity. Thus, we will be practising listening comprehension and speaking.
