MEANS OF TRANSPORT
The following session has been programmed to be used with a second course of Primary Education about the topic TRASNPORT at the end of the Didactic Unit. Once we have taught the vocabulary orally and the grammar structure with present simple of verb TRAVEL and it preposition 'by', we have to work it out in a visual form (reading and writing).
This will be a context session with heterogeneous groups of 4 students.
At he beginning of the session, we have to review the vocabulary with a 'snap' game in which teacher says a means of transport and students have to snap the word listened. One student of each group will take part of this short game once.
Then, in the second part, students have to look for the 10 word hiden in the word search created by the website called WORD WALL as you can see in the link attached. Once they find a word, the writer of the team has to write a sentences using it with the grammar structured used in the topic 'I travel by.../she travels by...' They have to use all the subjects they know and be carefull with the -s with she and he.
When time was over (five minutes as we can see in the online task), a different group has to check the sentences of another group, using here the pair-correction technique. Then, we have to correct them in lockstep and give points to know which is the winner.
